Dropping wind shakes up places

Autumn race 2 Conditions were perfect for sailing, bright sunshine, temperatures in the twenties and a warm gentle breeze fluctuating between five to ten knots. Race Officer Alec Moss set a good long course, this included a long leg across the Wade. Fleet 2 was first off and Tony Blake in his Jewel showed excellent timing to cross first, ahead of his rival Robin Cooper also in a Jewel. Hipkin home in the Hadron

Autumn Series Race 1 There was a good turnout for both fleets in the first of Walton and Frinton yacht Clubs Autumn Series Races. Race Officer Alec Moss set a good long course in perfect sailing conditions. Fleet 2 was first away and it was good to see three Jewels sailing as well as the modern Lasers (small rig) and Topaz. The warm ten knot breeze was ideal for the lighter boats and the Newland twins, Eleanor and Sophie in their Lasers broke clear into a comfortable lead from the rest of the fleet.
