Walton & Frinton Yacht Club keep rambling

With the the sailing season now a distant memory, and most members boats ashore and under cover, the sailors have to shed their sea legs and take to the land again.

To keep in trim the clubs rambling section plan a selection of walks around the area during the winter months , and the weekend saw a group of over 30 set off for a ramble from Columbine Centre, around the seashore of Walton backwaters accompanied by sunshine and brisk winds.

Their reward at the end of the walk was lunch at W&FYC, who provided a splendid lunch and refreshments for all. Another ramble within the area is planned for Sunday January 20th which takes in a coastal walk and a tour of the lifeboat installation at Walton.
