Although the creek up to the club is drying, which limits accessibility, many members are glad to have a berth for their dinghy on one of the pontoons. The Old Pontoon had fallen into disrepair and the demand for berths made it necessary to construct the new Grange Pontoon.
Working parties were organised to construct the new pontoons at Club Captain John Robinson's farm. He kindly gave the use of his barns and then supplied the heavy machinery needed to transport and install the finished items.
