All courses are subject to a minimum of 2 participants.

Other courses that can be offered - Day Sailing, Sailing with Spinnakers, Start Racing.

We can arrange additional courses for two or more participants wanting the same level qualification.

RYA YSS Stage 2 and 3 Dinghy Sailing Course

Fee - £120

Youth Sailing Scheme Stage Two and Three – 3 day course.

Stage 2 - Gives you a range of sailing skills and knowledge to help you in becoming a confident sailor.

Stage 3- Includes rigging, launching and sailing in any direction.

*This course will not give both tickets*- It is a mixed learning environment for both levels of students who will receive the skills for their next award.

RYA YSS Stage 3 and 4 Dinghy Sailing Course

Fee - £120

Youth Sailing Scheme Stage Three and Four – 3 day course for improving sailors.

Stage 3- Includes rigging, launching and sailing in any direction.

Stage 4- Can sail a double hander as crew or helm, and solve a variety of problems afloat.

*This course will not give both tickets*- It is a mixed learning environment for both levels of students who will receive the skills for their next award.

RYA Safety Boat Course

Fee - £180

(Discount for Club volunteers)
This course introduces the techniques used in powerboats escorting racing fleets of dinghies and windsurfers, providing safety and rescue cover for training fleets, and assisting in race management. Minimum age 16. Must have Level 2 Planing certificate and be comfortable handling the powerboat.

RYA Level 2 Powerboat Course

Fee - £150
This two-day course provides the skills and background knowledge needed to drive a powerboat and is the basis of the International Certificate of Competence. Minimum age 12.

RYA Level 1 Powerboat Course

Fee - £60

Practical introduction to power boating. This course is aimed at younger students who would like to experience power boating. Minimum age 8.

RYA Level 2 Powerboat Direct Assessment

Fee - £80
The direct assessment is a test of skills and competency for experienced power boaters and involves a boat handling test on the water, and an oral exam on the theory aspects of the Level 2 syllabus. Applicants will need to be comfortable with all parts of the Level 2 syllabus and have at least one full season’s powerboat handling experience.

National Sailing Scheme Level One – 2 day course introducing you to sailing with all you need to know to get afloat under supervision.

Level 2- Setting out the foundations of sailing for you so you will be able to sail and make decisions in good conditions.

Level 3- Consolidating skills and trying new ones so you will be able to be more confident in sailing skills and techniques, and ready to progress onto the advanced modules.
